Isn't this SO sweet!

Grisham loved me blowing bubbles in his face. Yeah, it got stuck on his lips. LOL

Grisham's first time in a big-boy high chair. We ended up getting the stroller because he was tired and wanted to sleep.

There's our big boy!

Grisham loved being pushed around the book store in one of their mini-carts. He got tons of attention from everyone we passed!

Me with Carson and Grisham, both fast asleep!

Check Ups

Today was the day for dr. visits. Grisham weighs in at 17 lbs and 15 oz. He's in the 43rd percentile for weight. His big head is in the 90th percentile and for some reason, he's not growing much length wise, he's still in the 36th percentile at 26.5 inches long, but that's okay. He had to get 3 shots again, but he took it like a champ. He cried until they were done. The nurse handed him to me and he immediately stopped crying. His next check up will be at 9 months and he'll just get his finger poked to check his iron levels. The only negative part of his visit was that we were referred to a Urologist because the skin on his privates has become attached in places that it shouldn't be. I am praying that my baby won't need surgery because that would break my heart.

Gavin is only in the 5th percentile for weight, weighing in at 51 pounds. He will go back in about 6 months or so just to make sure that he is growing on his curve. He's 51 inches tall, which puts him at the 17th percentile for height. He got his finger poked today to check his blood, and everything they checked turned out perfect! :0) However, after getting his finger poked, the nurse left the room. I kept telling Gavin that he needed to get his clothes back on. He kept saying that he couldn't. He didn't feel well. I looked at him and he was as white as a ghost, under his eyes were blue and he started dripping sweat. I ran out to the counter and had someone come in. He came VERY close to passing out. I'm so glad he didn't, because that would've scared the crap out of me. Afterwards, we met Aaron for lunch and then I took Gavin for ice cream.

Later in the day, I went to the dr too for my "female" check up. I really like my new dr. Nothing else to report on this topic. LOL

I hope everyone who cares enough to read my blog is doing great! Thanks for reading. Check back soon for more stories and pics! Amanda

Vote for this picture on March 9th at www.liveregisandkelly.com (if he isn't disqualified for his age...he really misses the age group by about 5 days)

Praise Report

I just want to thank God and thank anyone who prayed for my mom. Prayer works! Her 2nd mammogram showed a tissue that sometimes folds over. That's all it was! I am so grateful to still have my mom and to know that she's healthy.

Do you need prayer?

If you need prayer, I have created a myspace page designed for praying for others. It is http://www.myspace.com/1soulatatime. You can mail me privately or leave a message on the board for everyone to see and my family and I will pray daily for your needs. I really hope this site gets popular because it's just one simple way that I've found to serve others, and that is what makes my family happy!

Please pray for my mom

My mom went for her mamogram the other day and they called her today to come back in and get another picture on one side. I guess something didn't look right. My mom had breast cancer about 10 years ago on the other side. She will have the results in the morning from her new picture. Please pray for my mom's complete health; physically, emotionally and mentally. Pray for God to give her and the rest of the family peace.

My heart sank when she told me about this, but then I reminded myself that greater is HE who is in us than he who is in the world. By HIS stripes we were healed. I am claiming this over my mom and the rest of my friends and family! I will not allow the devil to torment my mind. Wake up calls like this should remind everyone that NO ONE is guaranteed an extra day on this earth. I am praying daily for many other people who have found out they have cancer. When you know so many people suffering from sickness and diseases, it's a real reminder to live every day to the fullest. I really need to stop complaining and start living while I can. I have lost loved ones to cancer, but in Jesus name, my mom is healed. Please believe it with me!
